Cat walker

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Cat walker to provide safe, engaging outdoor time for cats while ensuring their wellbeing and following owners' instructions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling cats on harnesses, attentive to animal behaviour, and able to communicate clearly with pet owners and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Take cats on supervised walks using appropriate harnesses and leads, ensuring safety at all times.

• Monitor each cat’s behaviour, appetite and health; report any concerns to the owner promptly.

• Follow individual care plans and owner instructions regarding routes, duration and handling.

• Maintain accurate records of walks, timings and any incidents.

• Ensure equipment (harnesses, leads, waste bags) is clean, secure and well maintained.

• Provide friendly, professional service and clear communication with pet owners and the team.

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for cats or other pets is preferred but not essential.

• Comfortable handling cats on harnesses and responding calmly to stress or unexpected behaviour.

• Good observational skills and attention to detail.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

• Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel locally between clients.
