About the role

You will be the primary decision-maker for the goblin community, setting priorities and ensuring the day-to-day running of the kingdom. This role requires balancing long-term strategy with immediate operational needs, resolving disputes, forging alliances and driving initiatives that improve clan wellbeing and prosperity. You will work closely with clan elders, war chiefs and merchant delegates to deliver outcomes that benefit the whole populace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the goblin realm, aligning leaders and factions around shared objectives.

• Oversee resource allocation, including food stores, armaments and trade goods, to ensure sustainability and readiness.

• Lead diplomatic efforts with neighbouring realms and independent tribes to secure favourable treaties and trade agreements.

• Mediate internal disputes and maintain a fair, consistent system of rules and customs.

• Organise festivals, raids and defensive preparations as required, ensuring the safety and morale of the clans.

• Mentor and develop emerging leaders, building succession plans and a resilient leadership pipeline.

• Represent the kingdom in council meetings, assemblies and negotiations, delivering clear, persuasive arguments.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a large, diverse community, preferably with experience managing complex group dynamics.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to build consensus across differing viewpoints.

• Strong strategic thinking and practical problem-solving abilities; comfortable making decisions in uncertain situations.

• Demonstrable experience managing resources, logistics or community programmes at scale.
